Become a volunteer family sponsor

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. Volunteering as a family mentor offers important support for families in difficult life situations in the district of Bad Tölz Wolfratshausen. Volunteers accompany parents and children for about a year and provide help in areas such as childcare, everyday organization or social challenges. The commitment is based on the individual skills of the sponsors and is tailored to the needs of the families.

To get started, a free training course is offered that teaches the basics of family sponsorship over six sessions. The topics covered include communication, family dynamics and intercultural competence. Bianca Ludwig, coordinator of the project, emphasizes: "The training makes it possible to bring in your own life experiences and make a targeted contribution to supporting families.

The commitment is supported by qualified specialists who offer regular meetings and opportunities for exchange. Many volunteers report that working as a family sponsor not only helps the families, but is also an enriching experience for the sponsors themselves.
