Inspiration and Information on Nurses' Day
County Policy to Highlight Caregivers on October 9
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen/Benediktbeuern District. Exchanging ideas, networking, and learning: That’s exactly what Nursing Care Day is all about on Friday, October 9, at Benediktbeuern Abbey. Starting at 2:00 p.m., visitors can find inspiration through a variety of hands-on activities and informational sessions. The event is aimed at family caregivers as well as professional caregivers and other professionals in the care sector. The full program is available at www.tagderpflege.info. Registration is not required.
“With Caregivers’ Day, the county wants to recognize the dedication of everyone working in the field of care, as well as family caregivers. At the same time, we want to give them the opportunity to connect with one another and recharge a little outside the daily routine of caregiving,” says County Administrator Ludwig Schmid, explaining the event’s purpose. He hopes for a strong turnout and expresses his gratitude to the caregivers: “Everyone who is involved in this field makes our district a little better every day through their actions.”
District Administrator Schmid will open the event at 2:00 p.m. in the Audimax of the Catholic Foundation University (KSH). Various hands-on activities will begin at the same time. Until 5:30 p.m., participants can learn about new developments in caregiving and options for personal prevention and self-care at information booths and through presentations.
In organizing the third annual Care Day since 2022, local officials are relying on the proven collaboration between the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Education Center, the host organization KSH, and the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office. The care support center is also located there.
