Education for Sustainable Development Network meets for the 7th time

Event on 22.10.2025 in Königsdorf

District of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen/Königsdorf. "Education for the future". Under this motto, the Education for Sustainable Development Network in the Oberland invites you to the 7th network meeting on October 22, 2025. The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Hochland youth settlement in Königsdorf.

Our world is facing major challenges, from climate change and social inequality to the protection of natural resources. Tackling these problems requires more than just technical knowledge: It needs people who think for themselves, take responsibility and act sustainably.

This is precisely where Education for Sustainable Development - ESD for short - comes in. It aims to provide children, young people and adults with the necessary knowledge and, above all, the skills to shape our future consciously and fairly. But how can this important topic be firmly anchored in schools, daycare centers, adult education and everyday life?

Under the motto "Education for the future - introducing the ESD education landscape in the district", all interested parties and stakeholders from the education sector are cordially invited to the 7th network meeting. The various network partners will present their work on education for sustainable development (ESD) using a variety of practical methods. Afterwards, we would like to get into conversation together at a World Café and develop ideas for the future of ESD in the district.

Deputy District Administrator Thomas W. Holz will open the network meeting with a welcoming address. Felix Schreiber, the district's new climate protection manager, will also introduce himself.

In order to strengthen ESD in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen and thus provide important impulses and skills for concrete action for children, young people and adults, an educational network for sustainable development in the Oberland was launched in fall 2022 on the initiative of the Umweltstation Ökologische Akademie e.V. and supported by the district's climate protection management. In addition to the goal of making existing ESD offers visible, the network is particularly concerned with bringing together a wide range of educational stakeholders so that they can exchange ideas, work together and learn from each other.
