Press invitation to an exchange on peatland management on July 18, 2025

Ladies and gentlemen of the press,

On Friday, July 18, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the "Tölzer Moorachse" steering group invites the constituency representatives Thomas Holz (MdL) and Harald Kühn (MdL) as well as District Administrator Josef Niedermaier and Mayor Anton Ortlieb to discuss moor management in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen as part of a site visit to the Loisach-Kochelsee moors. Areas where the restoration of natural moor water levels is planned will be visited. The decisive factor for the implementation of the projects is the funding of the measures with the help of the Landscape Conservation and Nature Park Guidelines (LNPR), the funding program of the Free State of Bavaria for nature conservation projects.

The meeting point for the joint tour on Friday, July 18, 2025 is the Benediktbeuern monastery parking lot. Departure is at 10 am in carpools. The return to the starting point is scheduled for 12 noon.
