Ladies and gentlemen of the press,

On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, the two new family support centers in Geretsried and Wolfratshausen will be officially inaugurated. The opening ceremony will be attended by District Administrator Josef Niedermeier, who cordially invites you to attend:

The family support center in Geretsried (Adalbert-Stifter-Str. 21) will open at 3:00 pm and the family support center in Wolfratshausen (Lüßbachstr. 2) at 4:00 pm.

With their participation, the mayors Mr. Michael Müller (City of Geretsried) and Mr. Klaus Heilinglechner (City of Wolfratshausen) underline the importance of inter-municipal cooperation. Both mayors will also be present at the partner location - a strong sign that the family support points are intended as open contact points for all families in the social areas and that the support points work closely together.

The family support points are part of the state funding program for the further development of municipal family education and family support points. The district has been participating in the funding program since April 2020. The locations are now officially opening their doors to families.

The family support center is financed by the towns and the district under the supervision of the respective sponsors and coordinated by the specialist department for family support at the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district office.

The new contact points offer open, low-threshold services such as parent cafés, discussion opportunities and educational formats. The aim is to support families in their everyday lives, to network and, if necessary, to arrange further help - without hurdles, in an uncomplicated and personal way. Family support points act as a guide for families, are intended to close gaps in services and cooperate closely with existing services and institutions.

Also present are:

  • Mirjam Majer, Head of Department at the Office for Youth and Family Affairs
  • Björn Hoppe, Head of Department at the District Office
  • Bianca Ludwig, Family Support Center at the Office for Youth and Family Affairs
  • Fritz Meixner, Children and Youth Development Association Wolfratshausen e.V.
  • Dr. phil. Sonja Weißbacher, specialist at the Wolfratshausen family support center
  • Theresa Vogginger, Head of Diakonie - Youth Welfare Upper Bavaria
  • Andrea Daccache, specialist at the Geretsried family support center
