Art and culture in the district
There is a lively cultural life in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. Customs, art, cultural monuments and much more lend esprit to life in the district.
The district home preservation and archive preservation departments are responsible for the preservation of culture. The district curator and archive curator each hold an honorary position. They are appointed by the district.
Promoting art and culture in the district
"The district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen promotes cultural and artistic activities that contribute to the design and development of the district's cultural infrastructure. The funding is intended to support initiatives and commitments related to the district for attractive, diverse and creative cultural and artistic work" (source: excerpt from the guidelines for the promotion of art and culture).
The funding is a voluntary service provided by the district.
Artists have until October 31, 2025 to submit an application to the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office for art and cultural funding for events and projects in 2026.
Awards from the district
The district itself awards prizes in recognition of particularly committed and deserving people from the district. The district council office, the lower nature conservation authority and the economic development department are responsible for this.
