Energy consulting

An energy transition is essential in order to achieve the climate targets that have been set.

The switch from fossil fuels to renewable energies is a task for society as a whole that requires everyone's cooperation. To support citizens, the district offers various information and advice formats.

Are you planning to renovate your home to save energy costs? Do you want to use renewable energies? Do your energy bills seem too high? Are there problems with damp and mold in your home? The independent energy consultants at VZ Bayern will be happy to provide you with qualified information and individual recommendations on all these questions. The district of Bad Tölz Wolfratshausen offers two energy advice formats in cooperation with the energy advice service of the Bavarian Consumer Advice Center.

Energy consultation at the advice center

Every first Tuesday of the month from 12:45 - 17:15 at the district administration office and every third Thursday of the month in Geretsried from 13:30 - 18:00, the Bavarian Consumer Advice Center offers all consumers competent and independent advice on energy issues. Advice is given on all issues relating to private energy consumption, such as saving electricity, heating, structural heat insulation and renewable energies.

Appointments can be made either directly at the district office on 08041 505 632 or by calling the free service telephone of the consumer advice center on 0800 - 809 802 400. The energy consultation is free of charge.

Energy checks on site

On a white background, "80 million together for energy change" is written in capital letters on two lines, with "change" written in blue and the rest in black. On the left are three vertical blue lines that are slightly bent.

Which renovation measures are worthwhile for you? Make an appointment for an energy check in your home and find out. During the consultation, the energy consultant will professionally analyze the situation and draw up tailor-made suggestions for improvement. You will receive a written report by post approximately four weeks after the on-site visit. The energy check costs €40. Appointments can be arranged at the Bad Tölz energy support point of the Bavarian Consumer Advice Center by calling 08041 - 505 632 or by calling the free service telephone of the Consumer Advice Center on 0800 - 809 802 400.

Free online events

Energy transition Oberland

Energiewende Oberland is one of the largest community foundations for the energy transition in Germany in our region.

The logo of Energiewende Oberland has a white background. On the left-hand side is an orange arrow pointing downwards in an arc. On the right-hand side, it first says "Energiewende" in orange in two lines and then "Oberland" in blue in the third line. After a horizontal orange hyphen, "Bürgerstiftung für Erneurbare Energien und Energieeinsparung" is written below in blue, divided into three lines.

In addition to the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, members include the districts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Miesbach and Weilheim-Schongau as well as numerous municipalities, organizations, companies and citizens of the Oberland region. Energiewende Oberland supports and advises on the goal of increasing energy efficiency and supplying the region entirely with renewable energies by 2035. In cooperation with Energiewende Oberland, the district's climate protection management team organizes various information events on the topic of energy-efficient refurbishment, for example. On the Energiewende Oberland website, homeowners can also find a wealth of useful information and tools, such as the heating calculator or the renovation check, which can be accessed at any time.

Solar potential register

Is it worth installing a solar system on my roof?

The screenshot shows an interactive map of the solar potential register for the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. The map is based on OpenStreetMap (OSM) and offers various display options, including an alternative color variant. On the left-hand side there is a menu with options for displaying the solar potential for photovoltaics and solar thermal energy, the irradiation and the suitability of roof areas for solar installations. You can also switch between different background maps such as a digital orthophoto. The map itself shows a color-coded overview of the buildings in the area around Marktstrasse and the Isar. The colors of the roofs correspond to the legend at the bottom left: Green: Well suited Yellow: Suitable Orange: Conditionally suitable Red: Not suitable In the center of the map is a traffic circle on Marktstraße, which crosses the Isar via a bridge. Several marked buildings, including the Capitoltheater Bad Tölz and the Franciscan monastery, are visible. Parking lots and footpaths along the Isar are also marked. There is a search bar at the top right for entering an address to search for specific locations.

Many homeowners in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district will be asking themselves this question. The answer can be found here.

The online solar cadastre helps to discover solar potential. With just a few clicks, it quickly becomes clear whether the roof of a house is suitable for a photovoltaic system or solar thermal system and whether it will pay off. The result of this online calculation forms a reliable basis for further planning. The program also provides information on planning and building your own solar energy system. "The results provide initial information and are no substitute for specialist advice from a qualified installer," emphasizes Veronika Böhm, climate protection officer at the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district office.

The energy transition, i.e. away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energies, is an important goal of the district. The use of solar energy on suitable roof surfaces by means of photovoltaics (electricity) or solar thermal energy (heat) has decisive advantages: There is no additional land consumption and the energy produced can be consumed directly on site.

Federal funding for efficient buildings

Energy-efficient renovations are an essential prerequisite for the success of the energy transition.

However, such measures are often associated with high costs. For this reason, the federal government promotes various individual measures relating to energy efficiency in buildings. The large-scale funding program "Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings" offers the possibility of financial support for your renovation project. The funding program is administered by the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) and the development bank KFW. You can find an overview of the currently subsidized measures in this BAFA document.

Important information for all those interested in funding: If you wish to take advantage of funding, you must first apply for it and wait to receive the funding decision before commissioning a specialist company to carry out the work. Projects that have already been started can no longer be funded retrospectively.

You can find out exactly how to apply and what documents you need on the BAFA website .
