Independent advice for young people with disabilities

Young people with disabilities and their families often face challenges when it comes to coping with their special support needs. They are dependent on integration assistance from various service providers such as the district of Upper Bavaria or the youth welfare office in order to participate in social life. This is where procedural guides can offer help and orientation.

The procedure guides advise, accompany and support young people with disabilities as well as their parents and legal guardians when applying for benefits.

Pilot function in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

The procedural guide at the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen Office for Youth and Family helps people to find their way around the Social Code and its integration assistance benefits. The most important points are explained in an understandable way and the support that is available is shown.

The procedure guide provides specific advice on possible integration assistance benefits, legal and benefit entitlements, as well as on the procedures for granting benefits in accordance with SGB VIII and SGB IX. They also help to clarify responsibilities and find suitable contacts.

Consulting

The counseling service is aimed specifically at young people aged 0 to 26 with a (potential) mental, physical and/or intellectual disability, as well as their parents or legal guardians. It is free, independent, confidential and, if desired, anonymous.

Advice can be customized - by e-mail, telephone, video call or in person. Appointments must be made in advance for personal consultations. You can reach us during the opening hours of the district office.
