New medium-sized combustion, gas turbine and internal combustion engine plants must be notified to the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office prior to commissioning.
Existing installations had to be notified by 01.12.2023 at the latest. Existing installations are installations that were put into operation before 20.12.2018.
The 44th BImSchV ordinance regulates - irrespective of the fuel used - the construction, quality and operation of
- combustion plants requiring a permit and combustion plants not requiring a permit with a rated thermal input of at least 1 megawatt and less than 50 megawatts
- combustion plants requiring a permit with a rated thermal input of less than 1 megawatt and
- joint combustion plants within the meaning of § 4 of the Ordinance if the rated thermal input is at least 1 megawatt. If the output is over 50 megawatts and the joint combustion plant falls under the Large Combustion Plants Ordinance (13th BImSchV), this has priority.
In addition, emission-relevant changes to notifiable combustion plants must also be reported prior to their implementation, as well as the change of operator and the final decommissioning of the plant.
